🏘️ Group settings

In this article:

  1. Add a new group: one-by-one or multiple trainees at once
  2. Edit or delete a group

One way of giving trainees access to scenarios is through groups. Create groups with trainees with a specific level or job title. Or create groups around specific learning topics, such as security.

⚠️ If you use an LMS integration to give trainees access to scenarios, there is no need to create a group.

🏡  Add a new group

ℹ️ Interact with the image below to learn how to create a Group, or continue to the written step-by-step guide below.

  • Navigate to the Trainees tab and select Groups.
  • Click on the Add group button to add a new group.
  • Fill in a group name and select which scenarios and/or courses the trainees in that group should have access to. Only published scenarios can be selected. ✅

➡️  Add multiple trainees to a group

If you have trainees in Warp Studio, click the checkbox ✅ before their name and select as many trainees as you wish. Click the three dots 🚥 button at the bottom of the screen and add or remove these trainees to a group. If any trainee receives access to new scenarios, they will receive an email with information how to play these scenarios. It might take up to 5 minutes before this email is send.

👉 There is a group in Warp Studio called All trainees, which automatically includes every member and trainee in your workspace. This makes it easier to distribute courses and scenarios to everyone in one go, without manually selecting users.❗️This group is permanent and cannot be deleted.

➡️  Add new trainees to a group

When you add a single new trainee, you can directly add this trainee to a group. Once you hit the Add trainee button and assign their role, you can select the group they should be in. If a trainee receives access to new scenarios, they will receive an email with information how to play these scenarios. It might take up to 5 minutes before this email is send.

ℹ️ Try this in the interactive image below.

❌  Edit or delete a group

ℹ️ Interact with the image below to learn how to add edit or delete a Group, or continue to the written step-by-step guide below.

Groups can be edited or deleted. Hover over the 3 dots button 🚥 and select what you prefer. Access to scenarios, as well as the group name can be changed. If you delete a group, no worries, trainees won’t be deleted as well.
