๐Ÿงจ Test and publish your scenario

Once done with filming and post-production, you can:

  1. Test your scenario, to make sure everything's ready before launching
  2. Publish or deploy the training to any device for your trainees

๐Ÿงช How to test a scenario

Scenarios can be tested both before and after the filming. To set up a scenario for testing:

  • Open the scenario
  • Click the yellow Test button in the top right and select + New test version to create a new active test version of the scenario.

  • In the pop-up, describe what can be tested in this version (optional).
  • Invite other members than yourself to test the scenario (optional). These can be your scenario creation colleagues. They will receive an email invitation to test.
  • Once the test version is ready (usually > 1 minute), you'll be able to click Play now.

If there is an active test version already, just click on Play now to directly play that test scenario on the web. You can also easily test on smartphone, tablet or VR headset. You can always add or delete test members from an active test at any time.

๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Testing controls

As mentioned above, scenarios can be tested both before and after the filming, with the only difference that in the first case, you won't see videos but an empty 360 environment, which will still include all interactive elements you've selected.

In both cases, a testing panel is available for all testing members. It includes:

  • Scene number, title and description.
  • Information about elements and points for certain answers.
  • The total points so far and history of scenes visited.
  • The option to quickly go back to the start scene.
  • Go back to the previous scene.
  • Search a scene and jump to it.

๐Ÿ“ก Publish your scenario

To make your scenario available for playing by trainees, you need to publish it first. The publishing process consists of a few steps:

  • Open the scenario and click the Publish button in the top right.

  • Next, check the general scenario information and click Edit if changes are needed to the title, description and cover image.
  • If you don't use an LMS, then select a Group(s) from Warp Studio that will have access to this training, then click the Publish button.
  • In case you use an LMS integration, don't select any groups, just click the Publish button. Download SCORM or LTI packages from the integration page and upload them to your LMS. Then, assign the packages to trainees for access on any supported device. More on LMS integration here.

๐Ÿ‘‰ A few notes:

  • Once publishing starts, it can take a few seconds to a minute to finish the process. You will be notified by email when publishing is ready.
  • You can always make changes to an already published scenario. To make all changes available for trainees, simply Publish again.
  • You can publish a scenario as often as you like.
  • If a scenario is also in Test mode, publishing will override the test version.

โš ๏ธ Scenarios created with the new Flow editor (released Oct' 24) cannot be played on a Pico G2 4K or Meta Quest 1 VR headset. If you use any of these headsets, contact us and we will make sure you get access to an older version of the flow editor.
