🤖 AI Scenario builder
In this article:
❓What is an AI scenario builder
The AI Scenario Builder is a scenario-writing assistant built directly into Warp Studio. You describe the training situation you have in mind, answer a short series of context questions, and the builder generates a complete scenario in any language - scenes, branching logic, and outcomes - as a working draft in the Flow editor. It is designed as a co-author, not a replacement. The AI handles the bulk of the drafting work; you remain the ideator, the editor, and the final validator of every scenario it produces.

Here's a quick overview. For detailed guidance on how to use it, please continue reading further below.
✍️ How to use the AI scenario builder
To start a session:
- Navigate to the Scenarios page in Warp Studio and click the 'Create a scenario' + button.
- Select the AI scenario builder.
- Enter a brief summary of your scenario, such as the core topic, location and targeted training audience.
- Optionally, upload a PDF/TXT reference document that would contain: SOPs, manuals or plain text notes, to give the AI additional context about your procedures, terminology and standards.
- Start the AI building session.

💬 Answer the context questions
Next, the AI will ask a series of questions to gather context before it generates a scenario:
- Learning objective - What the trainee should be able to do by the end of the scenario.
- Main character - Who the trainee plays, including their role, experience and responsibilities.
- Environment - Where the scenario takes place, and any conditions that matter.
If an answer contains too little detail, the AI asks a follow-up question before moving on. The more detail you give, the closer the generated scenario will be to what you need.

✅ Review and confirm your inputs
Once enough context is gathered with the three core questions, your answers are presented back to you as a summary.
From here you can:
- Edit an input - Type the change you want in your own words. The AI applies it to the summary.
- Confirm - Approve the inputs and continue to generation.
⚡ Generate the scenario
Confirming your inputs starts generation. This takes approximately one minute. Two things are produced:
- Scenario summary - Your inputs, a description of the scenario, and its potential success and failure outcomes.
- Scenario flow - A first version of the scenario in the Flow editor, with scenes, branching logic and point system in place.
Improvement suggestions appear in the chat interface after each generation.

🔄 Refine the scenario
Once the first version is generated, you can still do changes with the AI builder, such as:
- Use a suggestion - Copy/paste one of the improvement suggestions given by the AI builder. The flow regenerates, the summary updates to match, and new suggestions appear.
- Describe your own change - Type any change you want in your own words. You are not limited to the suggestions.
Suggestions:
- Edit a single scene - Name the scene and the change, for example Change the dialogue in scene 7. Only that scene is revised, and the AI keeps the wording consistent with the scenes before and after it.
- Edit a branch or the entire scenario - Some changes will affect the entire story structure of the scenario…
Each iteration will create a new version of the summary and the flow, and takes approximately one minute to create.
↩️ Version history
Every iteration is saved. To return to an earlier version:
- Open the chat interface.
- Click the version you want to return to.
- To continue working from that point, make sure to write in the chat which version you are referring to.
🚀 Finalize the scenario
When you are satisfied with the scenario at any given time, export it out of the AI Scenario Builder and into Warp Studio:
- Click Create Scenario.
- Confirm.
The scenario is added to the workspace you are currently working in, where you can continue editing it in the Flow editor like any other scenario, at any time. Once this is done, the scenario can not go back to editing with the AI builder.
